For 100 Years BBB Helps Consumers Find Businesses They Can Trust

VICTORIA, BC – The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is an unbiased non-profit organization that sets and upholds high standards for fair and honest business behaviours. For nearly 100 years, BBB has helped consumers make smarter buying decisions, and we are constantly evolving to meet fast changing marketplace needs.

As an international organization BBB sets the standards for ethical business behavior and monitors compliance. Over 400,000 Accredited Businesses meet our high standards. Corporate sponsorships and Accredited Business membership fees fund BBB operations. Businesses that earn BBB accreditation contractually agree and adhere to the organization’s high standards of ethical business behavior.

We also work to help consumers to identify reliable businesses and those that are not through more than four million BBB Business Reviews. BBB’s consumer services are offered free to everyone and are available locally, nationally, online and in person.
