Junior Achievement (JA) is the world’s largest not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating young people about business. JA programs help prepare students for the real world as they learn how to apply entrepreneurial thinking in the workplace, learn financial and money management concepts and understand the importance of an education as it relates to their long-term career goals.

Last year Junior Achievement programs were delivered to approximately 28,800 students in over 1000 British Columbia classrooms, 200 of those programs were provided for over 600 students in Victoria area. The popular Economics for Success (EFS) program accounts for over 50% of these programs and encourages students to reflect on the advantages of remaining in school to acquire the knowledge, attitude and skills needed for long-term career success.

JA’s unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver the programs free-of-charge to schools. We are currently recruiting EFS program volunteers. As a volunteer, you’ll make visits to a class of students at their school, and lead them through a professionally designed, interactive program. The key concepts of the lessons transform into a message that empowers and inspires. You may work on your own or bring a colleague to assist.

Share Your Story. Inspire a Student
