What is BBB Accreditation?
Becoming a BBB Accredited Business is a prestigious honour. Only businesses who fit our eligibility criteria and who contractually agree to abide by and maintain the BBB’s Code of Business Practices and Standards of Trust may become Accredited Businesses.
If a business has been accredited by the BBB, it means the BBB has determined that the business meets accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public. BBB accreditation does not mean that the business’ products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by the BBB, or that the BBB has made a determination as to the business’ product quality or competency in performing services.

Why Become an Accredited Business?
Every month the Better Business Bureau fields thousands of telephone calls and website inquiries from consumers, asking us what we know about a company before they do business with them. In a recent survey, 7 in 10 consumers say they are more likely to buy from a company designated as a “BBB Accredited Business” Knowing that our Accredited Businesses stand for trust gives that reassurance.
Whether it is on the phone or on-line, we track the inquiries that come in to the BBB. We get a large number of calls about companies in every industry, so we can work to educate consumers about how to shop wisely, as well as to help businesses like yours understand how the services of the BBB are particularly relevant. Belonging to the Better Business Bureau really conveys trust. When potential customers call and ask about you and your competitors, we would really like to tell them that your company met the high standards for BBB accreditation. You’ll find it‘s good for business!
